ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Building Trades & Service Technician Applicants must meet the following requirements:

    Ø     Must be eighteen (18) years or older

Ø
     Must provide your high school transcripts.

Ø
     
Provide Accuplacer Placement test score from either Mt. Hood 
        Community College or the HVAC & Metals Institute
       (regardless if you have a degree or not)
       
and
        place into Math 60 & Writing 101
       (even if you have taken these courses in the past)

Ø     Must be a high school graduate with a 2.0 GPA
        or have a
Ø     GED with a minimum score in each category of 51(before Jan. 2002)
        or 510 (after Jan. 2002).
 
Ø     Placing into Writing 101 will satisfy the 510 score requirement for English.

Ø
     1 Year of Algebra with a grade of "C" or better

Ø     Placing above Math 60 may count towards 1 year of algebra
        requirement

Ø     Placing into Math 60 will satisfy the 510 score requirement for Math.

(One term or semester of college is equal to One year of high school.)

Residential Sheet Metal Worker Applicants must meet the following requirements:   

    Ø      Must be eighteen (18) years or older
Ø
      Must provide your high school transcripts.
Ø
      High school graduate with a minimum 2.00 GPA or have a GED test
         with a minimum score in each category of 51(before Jan. 2002) or 510   
         (after Jan. 2002)

NOTE:  A valid driver’s license and pre-employment drug test may be required.

-Applicants must have all qualifying documentation at the time of   
  application, no exceptions.  If you do not have it at time of application you
  must wait until next opening date.
-Applicant interviews will be on the last Tuesday of the month, you must
  meet all of the requirements listed below to receive an interview.
-After the completion of the interview, the applicants will be scored and 
  place on the ranked pool of eligibles for possible future entrance into the
  program.
-Applications must be filled out in person at the Training Center.

 GEOGRAPHICAL AREA:

Region 1: Multnomah, Clackamas, Columbia, Klatsop, Tillamook, Washington     
                Hood
River, Yamhill Counties in Oregon, and Clark and Skamania
                Counties in Washington.

 

Region 2: Wasco, Wheeler, Sherman, Gilliam, Jefferson, Deschutes, Crook, Grant
                and Harney Counties

Region 3: Linn, Lane and Douglas (east of the coast range) Counties

Region 4: Coos, Curry and Douglas (west of the coast range) Counties

Region 5: Jackson, Josephine, Klamath and Lake Counties
