We are a consistent leader for quality Sheet Metal Training. ¨ The HVAC & Metals Institute is the first training center to receive “Gold Level” Accreditation Status through the International Training Institute. ¨ Our Executive Director, Dennis Boyd has an Associates of Applied Science in Sheet Metal Technology. ¨ Our Assistant Director, Ric Olander is a member of the International Curriculum Task Force, Architectural Sub-Committee, Soldering Sub-Committee and the Plans & Specs Sub-Committee. Is a Certified Welding Inspector. Has a Bachelor of Arts in Labor Studies & Labor Education. ¨ The Lead Instructor, Charlie Johnson has his Bachelor of Arts in Labor Studies & Labor Education. ¨ Instructors; Dan Carroll and Kevin Roth have their Bachelor of Arts in Labor Studies & Labor Education. ¨ Each Instructor attends Instructor Education each year ¨ Many of our Instructors have educated other Instructors through the International Training Institute and Ohio State University and the National Labor College. ¨ Combined the full time staff can offer over 50 years of Sheet Metal Educational experience. We are committed to safety ¨ All four of our full-time Instructors are American Red Cross certified First-Aid and CPR Trainers. ¨ We have 9 OSHA 500 Instructors on staff ¨ Our welding program includes 3 American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspectors.
